The Winners

Haven, New Ireland and KBC bank top awards

Haven announced as Lender of the Year

Friday, 7th April: Haven Mortgages and New Ireland were the big winners at this year’s Association of Expert Mortgage Advisors (AEMA) awards this week, with each collecting three major accolades. All winners were selected and voted for by Ireland’s leading mortgage and financial advisors, the members of the AEMA.

Haven Mortgages was announced as Lender of the Year and picked up an award for Best Business Development Team. It took joint first place with KBC in the Best Sales Support team category.

New Ireland was announced Best Mortgage Protection Provider, Best Business Development Team and also won Best Sales Support Team.

KBC added to its joint first award in Sales Support with a win in the Best Suite of Products (Mortgages) category.

The most hotly anticipated award on the night was Mortgage Broker of the Year, the only award voted for by the lenders and which was won by Dublin firm, Vision Financial.

All-Ireland Dublin legends, Alan Brogan and Paul Curran entertained the gathering with tales of their many triumphs with Dublin GAA and their predictions for this year’s All-Ireland.

Speaking about the awards Trevor Grant, chairperson of the AEMA said: “The AEMA awards provide a platform that acknowledges and applauds the stellar work of mortgage industry professionals in Ireland, recognising the outstanding contribution they made to the industry, last year. The industry is not without its challenges, but I think that the professionalism and indeed the resilience that have been demonstrated by both our members and the lenders is good reason to host these awards, which have become a permanent fixture in our sector’s calendar.”

The AEMA is the representative body of qualified mortgage advisors and was established to promote professional standards within the industry and the development of its members.
